ABOUT GRACE
Hi there 👋🏼
I’m Grace Chasteen. My husband, Evan, and I live in Alpharetta, GA with our two little ones. We have two dogs and we currently tend to (hold your breath) 10 chickens. I know. That’s probably too many.
My current gig is absolutely being here for my family. My kids are young but I also feel drawn to create and move where time allows (can be read: “is created”).
If you’re here for ART, cool! I still take pet and home portrait commissions as I see fit, so send me a message. I started doing these in 2019 when Evan and I quit our jobs, sold our cars, rented our home, and bought a Winnebago to travel around the USA.
If you’re here for YOGA, yay! I currently hold my 200-hour YTT certification with Uplifted Yoga and I’m so thrilled to be offering retreats.
Yoga came to me when I was postpartum with my second precious babe. Our kids were born 12 months apart, which was a lot for my mind, body, and nervous system. I was in need of rest, movement, and time to turn inward when I read about a yoga retreat at the Ignatius House. I decided to say, “Yes.” to the heavenly call I heard to go. This time, and future classes at a local studio, really changed me. Whenever I made the space to practice, God showed up, cared for me, and met me in my scattered state every time. And still does.
Yoga has been my outlet to be with Jesus in a rewarding yet challenging time in life where the physical demands of caretaking can easily feel overwhelming.
My main goal in cultivating and leading retreats is to give moms a place where they can move their bodies and let their minds rest in the presence of Jesus. And hopefully, find a little care and community in the process.
